Updates on the Project

At the moment the group are contacting and working with contributors and actors. Filming will take place this month.

Elevating the project to the next level

We feel that getting a camera operator will produce a better result for the drama re-enactment.  A nice way to get the best actors is to take head shots and audio in the casting auditions.

Graphic Designer

We want graphics for the DVD sleeve which can be designed by Olivia.

Audition Process

Latoya booked the TV Studio out on Monday 4^th March to cast the suitable actors that we have so far. Four actors have confirmed. The first actor is scheduled to arrive at 10am so the team must arrive at the location for 9am.

We are having some problems with response to the adverts. We are getting responses but few actors fit the profiles we are looking for. We need to finding more actors to fill the rolls. We can get actors via the Birmingham School of acting and Facebook; also reposting it on Gumtree and StarNow should help. Changes to the script will have to be made if we cannot get the required actors.

Script Development

A full script development will take place next week. We need to complete a shot list and rewrite the script incorporating the narrator/presenter. Log sheets and a storyboard needs to be completed also.

Working with KMedia

Ask media students if we can get camera operators to shoot the drama elements of the documentary if Kore and Luntu form KMedia are not able do it. Latoya is scheduled to have a meeting with them this week and she will enquire.

Locations

We are thinking that the best time to film is from Monday 25^th March till 29^th March.  On the 27^th march 2013, the community centre has been confirmed to film the counselling and final scenes from 1pm to 4pm. There is one location photos to look at. We must pay the deposit and hiring fee by the 20^th March. A house has been asked to be used. A reccie will be scheduled shortly.
