1.    Discussing the documentaries we watched

The team discussed the documentaries we watched. They were shocking in content and we discussed the structures of the documentaries. We clarified some of the reasons why people join gangs and the extremity of the violence some gangs can commit. Katie watched ‘Prison Gangs’, Latoya watched the ‘Unreported World’ and Adele watched two on ‘American Gangs’.

2.    Meeting with Caroline

Our meeting with Caroline was very successful. We updated her on our progress. She looked at our blog and at the research portfolio so far. She applauded us for our organisation and effort. We wanted to know what research to include in our research portfolio. She showed us a couple of examples of the length and breadth that we need to do to get the grade we deserve. Latoya and Katie made a list of what we need to include. We also discussed the audition process. Getting Caroline in the edit studio on one occasion will offer a fresh pair of eyes!

3.    Update on the project

Adele updated us on the locations. She took a couple of photos of the place and told us how much money we will spend hiring the place. Latoya will continue to chase up the contributors. Katie came up with some questions for market research after watching the documentary. We decided to hold an audition for the applicants for the drama section on the first week of March.  Latoya booked equipment for March and a private editing suite for every Wednesday and Thursday in April.

4.    Task Setting

All – type up your notes for the documentaries we watched ( it will be our analysis of text section)

Adele – post pictures on blog of location and a list of the locations we need

Katie – post the market research questions on the blog and ask Olivia is she can design graphics for us. Type up list you wrote of stuff we need in the folder.

Latoya – Chase up contributors and book TV studio for auditions, contact applicants. Type the list of stuff we need in the folder.

5.    Any Other Business

·         Source a camera operator and graphic designer

·         Humaira to photograph our behind the scenes filming

·         Source more actors on GumTree

·         Source a victim support group for more contributors

·         Auditions will be held 6^th March
